Business Intelligence

The importance of knowledge and knowhow as a source of competitivity is continuously increasing. Accurate and timely information is needed in each field of business but especially in decision-making. Business Intelligence means activity in which information linked to business and the business environment is gathered, decoded and analyzed and this analyzed information is used and refined as an aid to decision-making. Business Intelligence is legal knowledge acquisition from outside the company: especially from competitors, their activity and markets. In addition, customers and markets as a whole, subcontractors and other interest groups, technologies, administration in target countries, culture and legislation (EU) as well as future and trends are also important targets.

In many business information management projects, technology is often considered to have a prime role, but the organizational culture and personnel should have at least equal importance when developing the business information management.

An operations model which uses BI solutions can include the following items:

1. Analytics (market, customer, enterprise, competitor)
2. Data mining (where, who)
3. Data analyzing and processing (what is relevant, how comprehensive)
4. Comprehension and utilization of data (resource focusing)
5. Decision-making

Expert organizations and consultants are able to offer Business Intelligence services and solutions which deliver additional value and provide a competitive edge for enterprises by provision of business guidance.
