Health technology refers to technology in health care and medical science. In other words, the multidisciplinary zone where the accessories, instruments, equipment and systems as well as diagnostics and supporting data systems used in health care and medicine have been and are being developed.

The health technology's relation to the health care technology can be determined as follows: Health care technology produces health care equipment, instruments, accessories and other applications of expertise in health technology.
